GenX develops next generation solar cell technologies for highly efficiecy and low cost compared to current technologies. Here "low-cost" is the key! At GenX, focused research teams identify key problems that limit the efficiency in existing solar cell technologies. GenX has state-of-the-art facilities to probe all these solar cells. Some of these facilities are not availaboe elsewhere in the world! we take 'snap shots' of solar cells at "nanometer" (one hundred millionth of the width of your hair) scales and "femtosecond" (a milllionth of a billionth of a second is pretty close approximation) time scales! These capabilities allow our scientists to look at these solar cells in a way not many groups in the world can see!

A team of 10 principal scientists and associated subject matter experts, scientific and technical staff are focused on developing these new solar cell technologies.
